From nudity to offensive gestures, and even the display of disturbing imagery, including the burning Twin Towers of 9/11, the incidents have sparked outrage and disbelief. Gylys, speaking from New York, emphasised the need for boundaries, urging visitors to consider the impact of their actions, especially on young spectators. Security measures have been heightened on the New York side, with barricades erected following an incident of flashing.

Security guard Leighton Spears expressed dismay over the disrespectful portrayal of the 9/11 tragedy, echoing sentiments of offence felt by many New Yorkers still grappling with its aftermath.

Despite efforts to mitigate the inappropriate content through blurring technology, the live stream remains suspended until a viable solution is found. While Dublin City Council commended the majority of respectful interactions, the controversy highlights the challenges of managing public art in the digital age.

Amidst the chaos, visitors continue to flock to the installation, with moments of connection and joy shining through. As Gylys reflects on the unexpected global attention, he urges unity and transcendence of boundaries—a poignant reminder of the power of art to bridge divides.
