Attack On Police And Hotel: Riots Continue In UK
Attack on police and hotel have wreaked havoc in the UK. Some masked anti-immigration demonstrators have shattered the windows of Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham.
The masked protestors did not step back and continued to spray fire extinguishers at the police officers just outside the South Yorkshire hotel. One of the police helicopters was seen circling the area that was used to take an injured police officer immediately away.

The news has been corroborated with the social media video in which these protestors are seen engaged in the attack on police and hotel. A report of the inside fire is also present.
Inspector AI McKeon explained that the scenes that they saw yesterday were highly despicable. At Liverpool and Walton, on Tuesday, people were entirely out of hand as a great number of officers seemed in critical need of medical help, he said.
These suspects have been sent notices for arrests already and soon would be in custody. Many of them are already at the police station, he verified.
British authorities are highly compelled to calm down the situation as this could be the UK’s worst riots in the past 13 years. UK Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, stated the hotel facing “criminal violent attack” is extremely shameful. The housing asylum seekers were under attack in Rotherham, which is “utterly appalling”.
She was in support of police backing in this matter as they need to take “the strongest action against those responsible”. One minister also supported the police as he mentioned that they “have all the resources they need ” to simmer down the riots and subsequent disorder.
Government condemns attack on police and hotel
UK’s Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, came to view amidst the riots and had to speak on this grave matter. He said that the police are fully resourced and must take any possible action to slow down the disturbances as soon as possible. The disorder taking place this week in England and Northern Ireland is completely unacceptable, he confessed.
Approximately 90 people were arrested after the heated scuffles between the riot groups yesterday in various locations. The areas included Bristol, Blackpool, Hull, Liverpool, Manchester along with Belfast in Northern Ireland.
The councillor of Hull city admitted that the “worst of Hull” came into sight as the riots seemed unstoppable. But it was only yesterday and today has been much better, he said. Teams have worked day and night to curb the destruction all over the city.
As a guarantee from the government, policing minister Dame Diana said that much is being done for the situation to come under control. It is reassured that forces have all the capacity to come forward to fight the adverse state of affairs.
Justice Secretary Shabana Mehmood came to say that her colleagues with “the whole justice system are ready to deliver convictions as quickly as possible”. Ministers were also involved in detailed talks with Mr Starmer about the unrest in the country.
They took a stance that it is not about one location, but the entire country as public safety needs to be prioritised. Only then, they would be in a position to have confirmed that the government did its best.
Moreover, another protest is expected in Bolton around 10 pm, for which Greater Manchester Police issues a Section 34 dispersal notice for authorisation.
To give higher powers to the police officers for stop-and-search over the whole of Liverpool and Southport, Merseyside Police has launched two Section 60 orders. The orders took charge at 2 pm, on Sunday and would be working for the next 12 hours until 2 am on Monday.
