Biden Tests Positive for Covid, Campaign on Hold
US President Joe Biden tests positive for Covid. Joe Biden was bidding for re-election against Trump but had to put the campaign on hold to board the plane for return. The news came out as soon as a Latino union member mentioned it to the authorities.
Biden is experiencing mild symptoms of the virus but is headed to his home in Delaware for self-isolation. He would continue to execute all his plans from home till the campaign lasted.

However, there are rumours that Biden might have to drop the election campaigns. There is a possibility that he is under intense pressure for dropping it after 27 June’s disastrous incident.
There are increasing concerns about his age and health. The same was corroborated after the news broke following his apology to address the first event in Las Vegas.
While talking to the press, the White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Peirre said that Biden is vaccinated immediately and boosted to curb his symptoms. She further added that he has returned to his home where he would take some rest along with performing the mandatory tasks of the day in isolation.
After his trip to Las Vegas, Biden was already supposed to return to Delaware. Unfortunately, he had to cancel his plans this time.
Janet Murguia also felt sad about Biden putting the campaign on hold and not being able to address the union when she, the president of Unidos union, heard the news about his diagnosis. She had to announce this to everyone present to see Biden but had to face disappointment.
Biden’s doctor informed that the President had to put his campaign on hold as he was suffering from symptoms like mild flu, runny nose, nonproductive cough and ‘general malaise’. The doctor assured that he has taken his first dose of Paxlovid which helps minimise the chances of hospitalisation.
The doctor also reported that Biden does not have a fever at the moment and also does not show any signs of respiratory problems. His respiration rate is normal. Temperature is recorded at 97.8 while pulse is documented normal at 97%.
Biden understands the gravity of the issue. In the past, he had been present at several campaign events. The need of the time is to take precautions for the safety of his own health and everyone else around him. Biden confirmed, “I’m okay”.
When another reporter asked him about his health, Biden added “Good, I feel good”.
Giving up on a run for office after Biden tests positive for Covid?
Biden is contemplating the final decision of having to drop the re-election bid against his rival, Trump. A long debate is in the stir that is insinuated from an extract of one of the interviews.
Previous circumstances had not been on Biden’s side for the last three weeks. The grand debate of the 81-year-old’s political career after criticism of Trump is escalating.
Adam Schiff, the California Representative urged Biden to “pass the torch” and take it easy. He was of the view that Biden should become one of the highest-profile Democrats by doing so, especially after the assassination attempt on Trump.
Regardless of the fact that Biden tests positive for Covid, he formerly responded to all the critics that his mental perspicacity is “pretty damn good”. He made sure that his message was conveyed to the rest of the world in an NBC interview that he has what it takes to roll his political metier with vigour.
He found it completely fine to utter a series of recent verbal bloopers, which he thinks are part of the campaigns. It is for this reason a man becomes famous with his boo-boos, who had already survived politically for more than four decades.
