Vicious Dog Attack in Dublin Leaves Woman Fighting for Her Life
Two dogs attacked a woman in her 60s in Dún Laoghaire, south County Dublin, in a shocking dog attack in Dublin that left her hospitalized with serious injuries.

The attack took place yesterday afternoon at a private residence. Emergency services were notified at approximately 1pm. Paramedics who arrived first were unable to approach the woman as the dogs were still a threat.
Gardaí, including members of the armed support unit, quickly responded and managed to confine the dogs to a separate room. After receiving first aid on the spot, the woman was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for more care. Her condition remains serious.
Investigation Underway as Dog Attack in Dublin Prompts Nationwide XL Bully Ban
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine who owns the dogs. It’s believed that they were being cared for by someone familiar with the victim.
The dogs have been taken into custody by local animal control, but it has yet to be confirmed if they are a restricted breed. The nation has seen several dog-related occurrences, the most recent of which being this attack.
In June, a 23-year-old woman in Limerick tragically lost her life after being mauled by dogs. In response to such incidents, the government has introduced a ban on XL Bully dogs, which will come into effect next month.
