Organised by the team behind the popular dog Instagram page “The Daily Cavalier,” the event saw canine companions join their human movie buddies for a delightful doggy day out.

Theatre owner Sooby Lynch was pleasantly surprised by the well-mannered audience. “The dogs were so good!” she exclaimed. “Some people sat on blankets on the actual seats, while others sat on the stage. The smaller dogs snuggled on their owner’s laps, and many even knew each other from previous dog events.!”

But did the canine critics appreciate the film? “It was hilarious to see that they all enjoyed the movie.” Lynch shared that some even sported adorable “Lady and the Tramp” themed outfits.

More Dog-Friendly Screenings Planned by the Dublin Theatre

This successful “pawsome” dog-friendly cinema event in Dublin isn’t a one-off. The Dot Theatre has at least three more dog-friendly movie screenings planned, with one already sold out. Upcoming titles include “101 Dalmatians” and “The Fox and the Hound,” offering furry friends a chance to see their own kind on the big screen.

Lynch speculates that the canine theme might be a hit with the doggos. “They seem to enjoy watching other dogs on screen,” she says. It also lets them flaunt their coordinated wardrobes!

And the future might hold even more tail wags and popcorn for Dublin’s canine community. Lynch grinned, “I wouldn’t mind turning this into an exclusive dog theater—it was such a success! It was a joy to spend the day with these beautiful pups”.

So, if you’re looking for a unique and heartwarming outing with your furry companion, keep an eye out for The Dot Theatre‘s upcoming dog-friendly movie nights.
