Emerald Park sets opening date for Ireland’s two new ‘high-tech’ rollercoasters

Emerald Park, Ireland’s top family-operated theme park and zoo, has announced the long-anticipated opening date of its new immersive land, Tír Na nÓg. The grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2024, offering a world-class entertainment experience in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

Tír Na nÓg unveils “Na Fianna Force” and “The Quest,” two brand-new, cutting-edge interweaving roller coasters. When combined, they create the longest, most intricate family and thrill coaster in all of Europe, giving thrill-seekers a ride like no other.

Vekoma, a Dutch manufacturing company and a major supplier to The Walt Disney Company, designed the roller coasters, ensuring a memorable and exhilarating experience for Emerald Park visitors.

What more to expect in Emerald Park?

To complement the launch, Emerald Park is releasing a four-part behind-the-scenes series titled ‘Nerves of Steel’ on RTÉ One, airing the first episode on Friday, May 10 at 8:30 pm. The €22 million investment made by Emerald Park’s late founder, Raymond Coyle, to construct Europe’s longest interconnected steel rollercoaster is the focus of this Moondance Productions-directed series.
