Lawyer Kevin Winters criticised the Gardaí’s obstruction, stating that the absence of vital information prevents a thorough inquiry, disadvantaging the victims’ families. There has been a call for intervention from Justice Minister Helen McEntee and Tánaiste Micheál Martin. Winters warned of imminent legal proceedings if cooperation is not assured within 14 days, stressing the need for transparency and accountability in addressing the historic atrocities.
