There has been a breakthrough in a robbery incident that happened some time this summer. This morning a man in his 50s was arrested by Gardai in relation to a robbery in Loughlinstown that took place on July 27, 2024.

This incident happened close to 4:30 p. m. where the suspect walked into a business house with a knife and threatened the workers. The man then threatened the employees which looked so overwhelmed and threatened them to pay him some cash before leaving with the money. The suspect managed a way out of the scene riding a pedal cycle followed by the police in anticipation of the Gardaí. Nevertheless, it was informed that the members of staff did not get hurt at all during the heinous crime.

After the robbery the Gardaí began a widespread search for the culprit. The team in Shankill, a group of officers dedicatedly working on the case, reviewed the security footage of the business as well as other places to trace the movements of the suspect.
