Jeffrey Donaldson Denies All Charges in 18-Count Sex Offences Case

Former Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader Jeffrey Donaldson has pleaded not guilty to a series of 18 sexual offence charges, including rape, during a recent hearing at Newry Crown Court. The charges against Donaldson consist of one count of rape, four counts of gross indecency, and 13 counts of indecent assault. 

These alleged offences are said to have taken place between 1985 and 2008, involving two complainants. The case has drawn significant attention due to Donaldson’s prominent political background and the serious nature of the allegations.

Appearing alongside Jeffrey Donaldson was his wife, Eleanor Donaldson, who is co-accused in the case. Mrs. Donaldson pleaded not guilty to three charges, including aiding and abetting her husband.
