Oasis Reunion Tour Gets Huge Volumes Entries For Ticket Ballot

Oasis’ reunion tour gets “an unprecedented volume” of entries for ticket ballot. Last Tuesday, after their announcement for the first round of their tours that have not been enjoyed by their fans for more than a decade now, the news made waves.

The Oasis band broke up in 2009 at a French music festival. The incident happened backstage after which the fans kept on hoping for another round of gigs sooner, but that never happened.

The apparent reason for the band’s breakup was some technical fault at the show in Manchester. When Oasis offered a refund, they suddenly blamed the fans who were asking for it. Noel, the band member, decided to quit for good as he condemned “verbal and violent intimidation” from his brother’s side.

However, now, seeing the huge volume of entries coming from their fans, Oasis is assured that they have been waiting for quite a long time.

Oasis has planned a long tour in which 14 concerts will take place in Dublin, London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester. All the concerts would be part of their Oasis Live 25 tour.

Dates outside Europe will be announced soon as they are in the planning phase at the moment.

The band told their fans that they would receive a confirmation email after they had made their entries for pre-ballot tickets. They would be launched on Tuesday night, the band confirmed.

Oasis’ fandom for its upcoming tour

Oasis’ social media post on X said, “We are aware that many of you are still waiting on a confirmation email. They are on their way, as we process an unprecedented volume of entries”.

The band explained that all the entrants who have filled their forms before 7 pm BST tonight, Wednesday, August 28 would receive the expected email. They would be able to confirm their presence at the ballot via the same email.

Further, Oasis clarified that getting a confirmation email does not guarantee success in getting the ticket. They mentioned that the tickets would be sold on a ‘first come first serve’ basis.

As soon as the news came out, the fans rushed for a presale that went live at 8:15 pm, Tuesday night, 27 August. Still, the band assured that despite a delay in the email, everyone would be fairly catered to.

An interesting way to inquire who is their biggest and who deserves to be there with the tickets, the band is asking about the original drummer of the music group. They have given options to select the best answer.

The options include Chris Sharrock, Tony McCarroll or Alan White. The correct answer is Tony McCarroll who was with the band since their inception in 1995.

Also, they are asked the number of times they have been to an Oasis concert in their lives. The method is used to create hype as well as sell their tickets faster so that a maximum number of people can be catered to but on fair terms.

Spotify also mentioned an accelerated trend in Oasis streams that have escalated to a 690 per cent increase globally. There was a significant increase in their stream in UK regions.

Some of the most famous songs that experienced this escalation were The Shock of the Lightning, Turn Up The Sun and Bag It Up.

Several popular faces welcome the band’s reunion after ages. The person who signed Oasis to Creation Records in 1993, Alan McGee took to Instagram to express his delight on the band’s reunion tour.

McGee posted, “Good for music. Good for them. Good for us”.

After their signing in 1993, their album in 1994 topped the UK charts, becoming the fastest-selling music album in the music history of England.
