Young Man In His 20s Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash In County Kerry
In County Kerry, a young man in his 20s lost his life in a single-vehicle accident.
Gardai and the emergency services are present at the scene where the collision took place. The collision was witnessed at Keel, Ballyheigue, County Kerry, at approximately 7:20 am.

A garda spokesperson said, “The male driver of the car (aged in his 20s) was pronounced deceased at the scene”. At this point, no other injuries were reported.
Now that the road is closed, local detours have been planned. Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene for conducting technical examinations.

Gardai are requesting any witnesses present at the time of the collision in County Kerry to come forward with evidence or footage. Garda spokesperson said that any road user who has camera footage or dashcam should contact the police and submit his evidence.
Anyone travelling between the time 6:30 am to 7:30 am on Sunday, 18 August should make immediate contact with Gardai to help them in a detailed investigation, the spokesperson appealed.
This is the second road accident after the one observed on Saturday morning that took life of a man in his 30s. This was the collision when Gardai and relevant emergency services came to the scene between Junction 4 and 5 on Dublin Road, N7 westbound. The crash occurred around 9 am the same morning.
