Amazon's dedicated Irish Website

Amazon has announced its plans to expand its e-commerce operations in Ireland with the launch of a dedicated Irish Website, Amazon.ie, in 2025. With local pricing and no additional customs fees, the new localised platform will give Irish customers access to over 100 million products, including goods from Irish companies, and deliver a customised shopping experience.

An Dedicated Irish Website will Strengthen Local Business Network

The growth comes after the establishment of Amazon’s first fulfilment centre in Ireland in Dublin in 2022, which produced 500 new employment and provides nationwide delivery services seven days a week. Currently, more than 1,000 Irish small and medium-sized businesses sell on Amazon; the new website will help these firms even more.

The new website will be bolstered by a five-year agreement with the state-owned Irish postal services provider An Post, announced in 2023, promising faster and more convenient deliveries and returns.

In addition to its e-commerce growth, Amazon’s investment in Ireland also includes exclusive access to UEFA Champions League football on Prime Video starting in the 2024-25 season, marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to the country.
