Conan O'Brien on Ros Na Rún

Conan O’Brien, the well-known comedian and talk show host from America, is getting ready for a thrilling premiere on Irish television. Scheduled to air at the end of this month, O’Brien, aged 60, will be making a special appearance in TG4’s beloved soap opera, Ros na Rún. What makes this cameo particularly noteworthy is O’Brien’s commitment to speaking Irish Gaelic, a challenge he embraced with the help of linguistics coach Kevin Hussey during filming earlier this year.

Conan O’Brien Must Go in Ireland, his new HBO travel series, will debut on April 18 and feature a cameo from O’Brien for fans. Beyond the screen, O’Brien’s journey to Ireland involved exploring his own family heritage and tracing his ancestors, taking him through Dublin, Galway, and Limerick.

In Ros na Rún, O’Brien will take on the role of a “feisty” delivery man, setting the stage for a memorable clash with the village rogue and publican, Tadhg Ó Direáin. Viewers are waiting impatiently to see how this unexpected encounter turns out. Be sure to tune in and witness O’Brien’s linguistic flair and comedic charm unfold in the quaint setting of Ros na Rún.
