According to experts, Dublin is among the happiest cities to visit in Europe

Dublin has been recognised as one of the happiest cities to visit in Europe, surpassing major cities such as London and Cork in terms of its relaxing atmosphere. According to a survey conducted by industry data platform Stocklytics, Dublin ranks ninth among the top 10 happiest cities in Europe.

Happiest cities to visit in Europe in 2024

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, secured the top spot as the happiest city of 2024, followed closely by Aarhus in Denmark and Zurich in Switzerland. Meanwhile, other cities like Oslo in Norway, Stockholm in Sweden, and Reykjavik in Iceland also ranked higher than Dublin on the list.

Ireland as a whole performed well in the survey, earning the second spot as the most relaxing country in Europe. Although it only placed 20th in terms of overall quality of life, its happiness levels remain notable. Other countries that made the top 15 list of the happiest and most relaxing in Europe include Malta, Croatia, and Portugal.
