Salvador Dali Sculpture to Headline Ireland’s Largest Art and Sculpture Event

The largest Salvador Dali sculpture ever exhibited in Ireland will be on display at Art and Soul, the largest art and sculpture event in the nation. The €1.1 million artwork “Dance of Time II” was unveiled at the Castlemartyr resort in Cork. This bronze piece, weighing 405kg and standing 1.5 metres tall, showcases Dali’s iconic melting clocks motif.

Art and Sculpture Event Hosts Works by Renowned Artists like Warhol and Hirst

Opening this Saturday and running until June 23rd, Art and Soul will also display works by Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. Hosted by Gormleys, the event will feature 90 large outdoor sculptures and installations across the 220-acre estate. The event coincides with the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, enhancing the cultural experience with musical performances.

Oliver Gormley emphasised the sculpture’s representation of time’s fluidity. The exhibition, free to the public, will include 300 works by international and Irish artists, making it Ireland’s largest sculpture showcase to date. It is anticipated that thousands of people would attend the event, which presents a unique combination of environment and art.
