On Monday, the Swedish Prosecution Authority announced the conclusion of their investigation. Klein took to Instagram to share his feelings. He described the past few months as “terrible” and expressed frustration over the lengthy wait for a resolution. Klein stated, “Even though I love to perform anywhere around the world, something didn’t feel right.”

The investigation revealed that Klein’s actions were misinterpreted. According to senior prosecutor Fredrik Jonsson, the incident involved a minor clash with a film camera and lacked evidence of intent to cause serious fear.

Dutch broadcaster Avrotros, disappointed by the disqualification, plans to meet with Eurovision’s European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The broadcaster has criticised the disqualification as “unnecessary and disproportionate.”

The EBU defended its decision, stating it adhered to Eurovision rules and governance procedures. Meanwhile, Eurovision 2025 is set to be hosted in Switzerland after Nemo’s win with “The Code.”
