Reviews for The Perfect Couple Highlight Mixed Reactions from Critics

Initial reviews reveal a stark divide. While one critic lauded it as “ludicrously good,” others have been less kind, describing it as a “draft” and “derivative.” This disparity highlights the varied reactions the series has elicited.

Lucy Mangan from The Guardian offers the sole positive review so far. She draws comparisons to acclaimed shows like The White Lotus and Big Little Lies. Mangan appreciates the series’ “proper plot” and well-timed reveals, though she notes it lacks the deeper commentary found in its HBO counterparts.

Adapted by Jenna Lamia from Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel, the show is described as a “glorious, ridiculous treat” by Hilton. The critic highlights its irresistible nature, making it almost impossible not to binge the entire series.
