Mid-West Magic Convention Returns To Ireland's Stage

MAGICIANS from around the world are poised to cast their spell on Ireland this month, converging for the first international magic convention in over a decade. The spotlight will shine on Treacy’s West County Hotel in Ennis, Co. Clare, as it hosts the first international magic convention in over a decade–the Mid-West Magic Convention, taking place from November 18 to 19.

Headlining the mystical event is none other than Jay Sankey, a Canadian magician who holds the world record for creating more unique magic tricks than any living magician. Joining him are two rising stars in the magic world: TikTok sensation Aidan Murphy, boasting an impressive 1.6 million followers, and nine-year-old prodigy Ryland Petty, a double semi-finalist on ‘America’s Got Talent’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’

The Mid-West Magic Convention marks a significant moment for Ireland’s magical community, according to Leon Andersen, an award-winning magician from Limerick. Andersen expressed his excitement about bringing the event to Irish soil after a hiatus of over ten years.

The convention promises a diverse range of magical performances, from close-up tricks to grand stage illusions. Attendees can also explore the Magic Marketplace, where magical enthusiasts can purchase tricks, books, and other enchanted paraphernalia.

The grand finale of the convention is a Gala Evening magic show on the venue’s main stage, open to both the public and budding magicians.
