Hilda Arenas Elected Chairperson of the DLR Integration Forum

The Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown Integration Forum has elected a new Executive Committee, with Hilda Arenas taking on the role of Chairperson. The election followed the Forum’s General Meeting, held at Mounttown Community Facility in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
New Executive Committee
Alongside Arenas, Javier Villamil was elected Treasurer and Pooja Tyagi was elected PR Officer. Pierrot Ngadi and Viola Di Bucchianico were elected as Ordinary Members. The Forum confirmed that the remaining leadership appointments will be progressed and confirmed at its next scheduled meeting.

Thanks to Outgoing Leadership
The Forum extended its sincere thanks to outgoing Chairperson Cllr Thomas Joseph for his contribution. It also acknowledged the continued support of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council.
About Hilda Arenas
Arenas has a background in international leadership, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and community development, and has taken on a range of civic and community leadership roles in recent years. She is one of the founding members and serves as President of the Filipino Multicultural Society of Ireland, and is the Founder and Chairperson of the Southeast Asian Network Ireland. She is widely recognised for connecting people, building partnerships and creating opportunities that strengthen participation across communities.

Speaking after her election, Arenas described feeling honoured and humbled by the trust placed in her to serve as Chairperson of the DLR Integration Forum. She said she looks forward to working alongside fellow officers, Forum members, local authority partners and community organisations to strengthen opportunities for participation across all communities in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, and to create spaces where people feel welcomed, heard and encouraged to contribute.
Looking Ahead
The new leadership team will continue to work under the Forum’s guiding vision, Many Voices, One Vision, Joint Action, as it begins its next chapter of strengthening civic participation and community connection across Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown.
