West Bank- Israeli Attacks Kill Ten Palestinians
No less than ten Palestinians were slain in Israeli attacks in the north of the occupied West Bank. The spokesperson of the Red Crescent confirmed the news and described the Israeli attack as a “counter-terrorism operation”, as mentioned by the Israeli army itself.
Two Palestinians were dead in the city of Jenin while four others were found in a nearby village. Bodies of four more were found in a refugee camp near Tubas, Red Crescent’s Ahmed Jibril informed.

The spokesperson declared that 15 people have been wounded as a result of Israeli attacks in the West Bank.
The fighters from Palestine have been active in fighting Israeli raids in a military incursion from the early hours of Wednesday.
The Israeli army said that its purpose to attack the West Bank was to “thwart terrorism in Jenin and Tulkarm”. Two days prior to the operation, five Palestinians had been murdered by an Israeli airstrike.
Israeli Foreign Minister has a reason for Israeli attacks
Foreign Minister of Israel, Israel Katz said in a post on X that their army is conducting the operation with “full force since last night”. The refugee camps of two cities were on their radar for quite some time and the Israeli army wanted to take them down for dismantling “Iranian-Islamic terror infrastructures established here”.
For the past few days, Israel has been more interested in the north side of the West Bank where the armed groups are more active in fighting against Israel.
Katz further indicated that Iran is working on establishing “an eastern front against Israel” which would be in the West Bank. Israel believes that Palestine has been doing this funding the terrorists and getting weapons smuggled from Jordan, so as to follow the Gaza and Lebanon model.
Katz refused to pull back as he wanted to win this war for Israel. He was of the view that this threat needs to be subdued and the war should be fought with determination to destroy the terrorist infrastructures of Palestine. Even if it needs temporary evacuation of the common people, the war would not stop, Katz declared.
Not only has violence in the West Bank escalated but the death rate of Palestinians has surged since the start of war after Hamas’s attack on 7 October 2023. More than 640 Palestinians were killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza and other areas of Palestine.
On the contrary, only 19 Israelis have been killed in this war period, Israeli officials noted.
However, Israel has been occupying the West Bank since 1967, and as a result, their attacks are increasingly commonplace. Still, the attacks in multiple cities simultaneously seem to be a rare occurrence.
Another footage was released that showed Israel attacking Nur Shams, a refugee camp in Tulkarem, in its ongoing military operation.
The Islamic Jihad militant group considered Israeli actions as an utter open disclaimer for war in the form of comprehensive aggression. The only victims in this war are the common people and not the commandos and other Palestinian Hamas groups that Israel believes is targeting, the Jihadi group said.
Hamas responded to the inhumane attacks from Israel and called for a “general mobilisation”. They said that Israel’s attack was “extensive” and blamed Israel for the sole destruction of their infrastructure with unnecessary military assault and aerial bombardment.
Adding to the troubles of Palestinian people, those who are injured in the attacks are facing problems reaching the hospital. Palestinian Ministry of Health cited that Israeli forces have blocked the roads to the government hospital in Jenin.
On a global level, several countries are asking for a ceasefire deal between Israel and Gaza whereas America is showing optimism for doing so. However, no progress has been made yet.
