This year, the festival promises to be a celebration of “Global Connection,” highlighting the ability of mobile technology to unite us across borders.

Founded on the belief that expensive equipment shouldn’t hinder creativity, DSFF has been a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their talents. Scheduled for March 30th at the Pearce Street Theatre and the prestigious Irish Film Institute, this year’s festival boasts a diverse selection of films. Among the highlights are a captivating sci-fi piece by first-time director George Carter, a poignant documentary on women’s rights in Iran by Saba Ghasemi, and the premiere of ‘Now & Then’ from acclaimed filmmaker Frank W Kelly.

The festival organisers have meticulously curated a program that emphasises originality and innovation. With an array of workshops and screenings, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the limitless possibilities of mobile filmmaking.
